Bubble Art Projects
Two Art Fairs and an open studio weekend have fled by. 'Secret Love' has been sold to a beauty salon in Oirschot and is being shown off in their beautiful reception area. Also, I received a commission for a double portrait. Su-perb! But besides the sale and the commission and a lot of beautiful encounters, I also got very useful feedback. The visitors in my stand were definitely enthusiastic: 'These paintings make me smile' was a much heard comment, but also 'I wouldn't know where to put this on my wall'. Most people find my paintings too large and too exuberant for their living room. The paintings need space to come into their own.
That's how I came up with the idea of approaching Anne de Vries of Bubble Art Projects. He runs a mobile gallery and organizes exhibitions in the public spaces of large hotels such as The Hilton, in and outside of Europe. For a contribution to the costs of handling and transportation and 30 percent of the proceeds from sale, he takes care of everything from picking up the paintings to the sale and transportation to the buyer. Ideal!
Already the painting 'WoW', is located in the Marriott Hotel in Rotterdam and this spring I will be exhibiting in Hilton Hotel Dresden and probably Hilton Hotel Stockholm. Very exciting! I am curious as to how this will turn out. These hotels host the people that can provide a new home for my work, that's for sure! Either large houses or offices of businessmen/women.
A great big thank you to everyone who supports art and especialy those of you that bought one of my paintings! Thank you so much!! I wish you all a wonderful 2020!
